MRI Technologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, patient care, and safety protocols. The MRI Technologist will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality imaging results.

Duties

• Perform MRI scans on patients, ensuring proper positioning and comfort throughout the procedure.
• Utilize advanced medical imaging technology to capture detailed images for diagnostic evaluation.
• Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to safety protocols to protect patients and staff during procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, explaining the MRI process and addressing any concerns or questions.
• Collaborate with radiologists to review scan results and assist in diagnostic interpretation.
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Keep accurate records of patient information, scan results, and any relevant medical history.
• Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
• NYS licensure in Radiography & certified by NYS to inject contrast media.
• ARRT cert in Radiography & Magnetic Resonance Imaging.
• Maintains CE credits per American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements.
• Minimum 1 yr exp in Diagnostic Imaging.
• Recent relevant experience in MRI.
• Proficient in EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, Modality specific software.
